We are getting down to the final Pizitz team preparations for this year’s JUNA Assembly. We are very pleased that our school has twelve teams participating this year. Below, please find helpful information in planning for our two-day assembly on Thursday and Friday, January 29th and 30th.

Directions to Birmingham-Southern and the schedule for both days are included in the front of the Grey-colored Resolutions book that was distributed before Thanksgiving. More specifics about the daily schedule are below. Parents are encouraged to attend any part of the events on both days (bring your cameras and video cameras!). All adults, (even the sponsors) are observers as the students participate in this simulation.

This year, the money you paid at the beginning of the year includes lunch for the two-day assembly. The lunch is a “Sack lunch” style with either chicken fingers or pizza. If your child is not interested in the provided sack lunch, they may bring their lunch. Also, students may want to bring change to buy snacks during the breaks. Please remember NO MP3 PLAYERS, NO CANDY, NO GUM!! Cell phones will be allowed, but must be brought to either Mrs. Castleberry or Mr. Brock at the beginning of the assembly for safe-keeping. Phones may not be turned on or used during the assembly, but may be used at the conclusion to contact parents. All delegates will (1) need to be in full costume both days of the assembly, (2) have their resolution book, and (3) have paper for writing and a pen or pencil. Team captains will bring the team’s blue resource binder. Team sponsors will bring the placards and flags.
