Greetings!
~I apologize for not having updated my website in the last few weeks....as you can imagine the last few weeks have been hectic...not to mention our computer functioning has been irregular and inconsistent.

DON'T FORGET: I have posted a countdown calendar in the front lobby of the school- You might want to come in for a visit to check out what we have scheduled for our remaining days at the Carlin Springs Road location.

~The 9th & 10th grade fishing trip was phenomenal-the weather was impeccable;the crew that took care of us was patient, kind and helpful...Each student was able to bring home beautiful striped bass/rockfish for their families, as well as an unforgettable experience with Loosen Up Charters on the Chesapeake Bay...

~COMING UP~~~~~~~~The school-wide field trip will take place on Friday, May 31st-Please DO NOT MISPLACE THE INFORMATION PACKETS THAT I SENT HOME FOR YOUR REFERENCE.  We will be working with Atlantic Kayak of Alexandria, VA-this was the trip that was previously scheduled and cancelled as a result of September 11th.

~School-wide end of the year activity-Kings Dominion:Wednesday, June 12th

Suggestions and feedback are always welcome too.  Thanks very much for your continued support and communication-it continues to be helpful!  Keep in touch!

~FYI-HIGH SCHOOL:
~It is never too EARLY to research college.  I have developed a college application/practice survey to assist our students in researching colleges.  Please see me if you would like one, that I can later review with your son/daughter.
~MOST IMPORTANTLY~Colleges deem testing scores as critical admission factors.  Please ecourage your son/daughter to incorporate this idea in to their mindset.  In addition, other aspects for example extra curricular and community service can distinguish your child from other applicants fortuitous enough to realize college as an opportunity.

~For those who wish to take the SAT I test after January may obtain registration forms through me.  (PLEASE SEE BELOW) The remaining test dates are as follows:

TEST DATE:June 1:register by:4/26 late fee applies for:4/27

Students can only sit for the exam at a NATIONALLY REGISTERED SITE.  COMMONWEALTH IS NOT A NATIONALLY REGISTERED SITE.  THE ONLY EXCEPTION IS:  if a student requires 100% accomodations.  Only under this condition, may a student sit for the test at their home school. In this case, Commonwealth.
1-Students may obtain registration forms for the test from me.
2-Students may obtain applications for disabilities/accommodations from me.
3-ALL forms and fees are to be mailed in independently/on your own.
4-ALL questions re: testing-please call:
609-771-7600 m-f, 8am-8:45pm eastern time...

**Some students and parents are working w/ tutors etc. specifically for testing purposes.  If you are, kindly share your information w/ me so that I may refer the information to parents who inquire.
THANKS!
