Primary Source Documents A newspaper article written at the time of the historic event is considered a Primary Source Document. The Proquest Historical Newspapers This database contains cover to cover full text articles just as they were printed in The New York Times from 1851 – 2007. Local and New York State Historical Newspapers This website is a searchable repository of many of the old Newspapers published in New York State from 1795 - 2007!
