This whole module will introduce you to the world of Web site development. Good structure and design of Web sites is important for you to consider as you enter the Web design field. This first lesson centers around the introduction to design concepts and what is important to consider when designing Web sites. Consider the following as you work through this lesson and prepare to discuss in class:
1) Why is accessibility important?
2) What are some key Front-end issues that you feel are most important? Why do you think they are important?
3) Why does bandwidth play an important role in site design?
4) Who is responsible for how the Website you are designing will ultimately look? Is there anyone else that should be considered?
Research:
Use your text material and the Internet to research and prepare to discuss the following:
You have just finished a Web page project. The page is 316KB in size. How long will it take to download that page over a 48.8 -Kbps connection? Is this acceptable?
The Internet. How many Web sites are on the Internet? Why do you think it is important that you understand how to construct a solid Web site?
