Discussions for Markup Languages and Site Development
This lesson introduces you to the various languages that you will encounter throughout your career as a designer. It is important to understand the various capabilities of each language and how they can be implemented in a site's design. You will go into more detail about the languages later in this module and the next course "Design Methodology and Technology". Consider the following as you work through this lesson and prepare to discuss in class:
1) Why are there so many languages?
2) Where does XHTML come from?
3) If I am the designer then I know how the site should be laid out and what it should look like. Right?
