Materials/Supplies Needed
Students will need a scientific calculator with trig functions such as sin and cos (does NOT need to be a graphing calculator), a 3-ring binder or binder section (keep all your papers in your notebook), standard blue or black ink pens (not shiny gel pens), pencils with erasers, and notebook paper. For extra credit students may bring up to 2 of the following: (1) packs of disposable mechanical pencils; (2) packs of 2 retractable black or red pens; (3) packs of blue or black pens; (4) three packs of notebook paper [count as 1 item]; (4) small packs of AAA batteries, (5) gloves for lab, or (6) a box of Kleenex.

Course Description
Chemistry I is a laboratory-oriented course that provides students with a sound introduction to basic chemical principles by combining elements of mathematics and science to define, explain, and explore the world around us in a thorough study of matter and its interactions. This challenging course is recommended for all college-bound students, particularly those interested in careers in medicine, nursing, biology, or engineering.
