If you find a plant in a dark room and it doesn’t look healthy, what should you do?
As you move up the levels in an energy pyramid, the number of organisms decrease. Why? Most of the energy made at a certain level is used by that organism to live and grow. Therefore, only 10 percent is passed on to the level above. The smaller amount of available energy accounts for the smaller number of individuals in higher levels.
As a way of allowing the students to gain more independence, they are responsible for writing down their own vocabulary words for each chapter in Science. The rest of the notes will still be completed in class together.
I also sent home a state of matter project that will take longer to complete. That project is due on Feb 2 for all students.
