KEYBOARDING CLASSES:
1. Take funbrain quiz on keyboarding techniques if haven't. (laptop) Secret word is check6 until further notice.
2. Continue alphabetic phase of multimedia microtype program. (Les. 1-19). Be sure after each Review Lesson, you print out a summary report. Then staple all lessons in that unit together and turn in for high game score to be recorded. Units are as follows: Les 1 - 4; Les. 5 - 8; Les. 9 - 12; Les. 13 - 16; Les. 17 - 19. Good job on progress all of you have made. Keep up the good work. Remember our primary goal in this phase is to apply correct reach techniques WITH TOUCH, NOT SIGHT. Special congratulations to Jordana Wright, Stephanie White, and Ronnie Smith who have completed the alphabetic keyboarding phase!
3. As you complete alphabetic keyboarding phase, enter into the keyboarding skill builder phase. Here you will be working with paragraph timings, striving to improve both accuracy and speed.
4. We will update classnotes on basic keyboarding rules and punctuation spacing rules. REMEMBER: TURN IN FOLDER AND HALL PASSES THIS WEEK FOR BONUS POINTS. (Sixth period students will not be in class this week so bring folder and hall passes by to me between classes or before or after school.
5. Remember to check Hornet news website.
6. **EACH NIGHT PRACTICE 10 - 15 MINUTES REACHES EMPHASIZED IN YOUR CLASS LESSONS, APPLYING CORRECT TECHNIQUES.
ACCOUNTING STUDENTS:
As you will not be in regular class this week, it is your responsibility to complete Chapter 13 (Prob. 13-C and Study Guides. Review cases also.) Be ready for Unit Test when you return to class (Chapters 11-12-13). *Problem 13-C is a good review for this. Review your terms; update vocabulary list in folder. Bring folder by for bonus points. Come by for tutorials if you need extra help on Ch. 13 or UIL tests.
Also, please report to me 9th period on Mon., Feb. 19 and Fri., Feb. 23 for UIL practice. We will also try to schedule some evening practice. Work your sample UIL tests on your own so we can spend time on what you need more help with. Reminder: Sulphur Springs practice meet Feb. 24; District Meet March 30 in Mt. Pleasant (college).
