1. apply for a pin number by going to pin.ed.gov this will serve as a password to access private information on SFA's systems, it is an electronic signature for FAFSA on the web, renewal on the web and corrections on the web.
a. to apply for a PIN enter personal informaion(name, social secruity number, and Date of birth, also provide your address, street, city, state, zip, and e-mail if available)
2. students and parent can each apply for PIN this will make signing for their FAFSA easier and also makes correction on the FAFSA easier.
3. Web demo site is used to simulate: entering FAFSA on the web, submitting corrections, and checking states of applications. To access demonstration site go to fafsademo.test.ed.gov and the user ID: eddemo with a password of fafsatest
