Welcome!
I am a 3rd grade teacher at Centennial School. I first began teaching in 1991 after receiving my bachelors degree from Illinois Benedictine College. My first teaching job was in Paw Paw where I taught 1/2 day kindergarten and 1/2 day special education. In 1996 I switched to 3rd grade. In 2000, I joined the teachers in Plano as the 3rd grade special education teacher. I jumped back to 3rd grade regular education in 2004. In 2004, I received my Masters Degree in Education from Olivet Nazarene University.
I am married and have 2 children, Ryan and Abigail. Ryan attends Plano High School. Abby attends Plano Middle School. My husband, who is also a teacher, teaches physical education. As a family we enjoy visiting relatives in Arizona. I love reading near our pool on hot summer days! I spend the majority of my spare time watching Ryan and Abby at their activities! We have 2 dogs, Scarlett and Patches, who are very spoiled! We also have 1 pet bunny. (The bunny is also spoiled!)
I Love teaching! Ever since I was a little girl, I just knew that I was going to be a teacher! It is my passion!
