Battle High School, and Patrick Henry High School by way of interactive TV during SECOND PERIOD.
COURSE DESCRIPTION
Presents extensive study in topics of limits and their use in development of differential and integral calculus. Applications of differential and integral calculus are also addressed. The course will be governed by the College Board syllabus for Advanced Placement Calculus (AB) . Review of content geared toward preparation for the AB test will be consistently integrated throughout the course.
BROAD GOALS
1. Students will master concepts of first level college calculus.
2. Students will acquire skills to be successful on the standardized
national CALCULUS AB test (to be administered in May, 2006).
Students will be expected to devote appropriate study/review
time and make appropriate efforts to achieve success on the test.
A good score does depend on these efforts.
3. Students will develop skills in using a graphing calculator to
solve calculus problems.
4. Students will solve problems that utilize the mathematical tools
of calculus.
