Course Description: This course focuses on all areas of communication: reading, writing, listening, and speaking. Students will explore various genres, time periods, and cultures through required and self-selected literature. Students will enhance their writing skills through vocabulary, grammar, MLA formatting, and journaling. Students will use prior knowledge and gain new knowledge in the areas of research, test taking, study skills, and organizational methods. Please remember that this is HONORS English. Students will be reading material and writing papers that require a higher level of thinking.
