Welcome to my website! This webpage is meant to help my students if they are absent or need to know what assignments they have missed. I will post the schedule on Monday for the following week. It is subject to change due to assemblies and/or snow days but it will be fairly accurate most times. ***Please note we will be moving classrooms sometime this week or early next week, so plans will have to be flexible**** 5/16/11: All classes will have a Quiz on CH 15-3 and notes 33; Block 1 will fill in a frayer diagram on the sun and supplement this information while watching a video on the sun. Blocks 3 & 4 will do a Sunspot lab. Assign: Create a Constellation due Thurs. 5/17/11: Introduction to Constellations and explanation of the Constellation project which will be your exam grade (200 pts). We will go to the Library for research. Assign: See above plus bring materials for your constellation project. 5/18/11: We will explain the Zodiac signs and go over the rubric for this project. Then we will go to the library. Students will finish researching and work on their projects. Unprepared students will be given research to do. 5/19/11: Students will finish their projects DUE MONDAY or work on extra credit work on the computers. Create a Constellation is due today. 5/20/11: Students 5/19/11: Your Create a Constellation assignment is due. Students will make a Star finder and answer questions using it. Constellation projects are due MONDAY!!!! This is an exam grade! 5/23/11: Constellation Projects will be presented by groups. Projects will be graded according to the rubric given students and the guidelines of the project. 5/24/ 11: Continuation of project presentations if necessary. Student portfolios will be finished and submitted for a final grade. Textbooks will be collected. A replacement fee is $74.50 for a lost book. 5/25/11: Students will watch "Apollo 13" which ties our space exploration and our standard of engineering together. 5/26/11: Students will finish Apollo 13 if necessary and do one final engineering project; Building a paper bridge.
