Classroom rules: Based on Character Traits
1. Raise hand before speaking
2. Listen and follow directions the first time given
3. Respect yourself, your peers and the staff
4. Keep hands, feet and other objects to yourself
Classroom consequences: (intermediate)
1. Redirect
2. Change to YELLOW, partial loss of privilege- Recess
3. Change to BLUE, loss of privilege- Recess
4. Change to RED, call home
5. Change to BLACK, schedule conference and begin behavior plan
6. Guidance assistance
7. Referral
RESTROOM POLICY:
All children use restroom prior to cafeteria and specials.
Students will use the classroom restroom respectfully.
HALLWAYS:
1. Students should be in a single line.
2. Students will walk on the second tile from the wall.
3. Students will be at 0 voice levels.
CAFETERIA POLICY:
1. We will continue with the “Cafeteria Points Reward Policy”. Non-compliant students will be seated away from their classmates.
5 Points are earned:
1. Entering the cafeteria in an orderly manner
2. Waiting for the food quietly in line
3. Sitting at the table eating and speaking in an inside voice
4. Cleaning up all food, napkins, utensils, etc. prior to leaving the cafeteria table
5. Waiting quietly in line for the teacher
Parents will be informed of continuous disruptive cafeteria behavior and the teacher’s plan to reinforce appropriate behavior.
RECESS POLICY:
Intermediate rules:
• Use playground equipment properly (no jumping from equipment)
• No climbing or hanging on trees
• All sports games will be monitored and/or coached, there is to be NO tackle football or any tackle contact sport.
