Social Studies:
 
   The Southeast has 12 states.  It also includes the island of Puerto Rico, a commonwealth of the Unites States.  Rivers, farms,and coal mines are important resources of the region.  First the Cherokee and later the English settled here.  It was here that colonists began to elect government leaders and the Civil War was fought.  The civil rights movement changed the region's society.


Science:
   Water, which has unique properties that make it versatile and essential for life, exists naturally as a liquid, solid, and gas.  Water and ice have immense power to change rocks and even to shape the earth by the processes of weathering and erosion. All living things are composed mainly of water, and most of the earth's life forms require a water environment to live.


Math:

    Learning are basic multiplication facts through 11's is our goal for this month.  We will then be working with slides, flips, angles, symmetry, and congrency to accomplish another State Assessment.
