Dear Students and Parents,
I hope you enjoy the recorder activities and resources on this page. They are designed to support rather than replace curriculum and activities that we are doing at school. Students should be able to answer the essential question--What do I need to know in order to perform recorder music in a concert? These activities support our National Music Standards, by introducing students to arts vocabulary and the historical importance of music.
A recorder will be provided for your child's personal use at school. If you would like to order a recorder to practice at home, this is optional. I have ordered very high quality Peripole recorders. The cost is $5.00, which includes shipping and tax. Students may use these recorders at school as well. Recorders will be available the week of September 20th.
Students will be able to take quizzes online as well. By September 20, 2002, your student will have a login and password to take quizzes at home or school. Registration as a student is free and allows parents to use a password to check on their own child's progress.
