Welcome to the Newsroom!!!
(Day 1) Welcome to the second session of "Nose for News"! We re glad you're here! Today we made our Press Passes and worked in the microsoft software programs called Word and Picture It. Tomorrow we will sharpen our reporter skills and will begin to visit classrooms! Thanks to all of the editors who were in class today. You were a very big help!!
Day 2: We want to welcome our new reporters to the "Nose for News" newsroom! We also want to thank Shaina Cowan for the drinks that she brought for us to enjoy today! Thank you, Shaina! Today we practiced our interviewing skills on each other before we went out to the classrooms to get the scoop on today's activities at summer school. We did a great job!!
Day 3: We had so much fun writing our articles from the reporting we did yesterday. Our reporters wrote some good articles about summer school activities. We also hit the classrooms again for more reporting and picture taking for the paper. Thanks again to Shaina for the snacks for our news crew!
If your reporter is the only child you pick up from summer school, you should start picking your reporter up in the parking lot on Lee Street. (It's the one that faces the playground by our rooms.) This will make it easier for you. Please be there at 12:00. If you are not there at that time we will walk them around to the pickup in front of the multipurpose building. If you are picking up other children, then your reporter should be picked up here also. Drop everyone off at the multipurpose building each morning.
