This page is intended for students in Mr. Yost's AP Physics Class. Students interested in taking Physics in 2012 - 2013 should see Mr. Yost for details.
AP Physics is a fast-paced, challenging class which requires students to go the extra mile in order to succeed. Although all topics will be discussed, students will be required to do Independent study on certain topics in order to keep pace with the curriculum.
Students who take AP Physics will be required to take the AP Physics Exam at the end of the school year.
Students enrolled in AP Physics B are urged to contact the college or university in which you are planning to enroll to determine if AP Physics B is an acceptable replacement course for your field of study and to determine a "passing" score for the AP Exam.
*Most colleges will accept a score of "3" on the AP Exam, some may require a higher score, however.
Students wishing to take AP Physics B are encouraged to purchase some type of study aid as extra practice for the AP Exam (found at bookstores or online) but are not required to purchase any study materials. Some "used" study aids may be purchased online for just a few dollars.
