                               YOM HA'ATZMAUT


                            

Yom Ha'atzmaut means "Day of Independence". This holiday commemorates the founding of the state of Israel in the 5th of Iyar 5708, May 14 1948.

Just like Australia Day is the birthday of Australia, so Yom Ha'atzmaut is the birthday of Israel.

Yom HaAtzma’ut is a national holiday in Israel and is also celebrated by Jews around the world.
