Welcome to the second semester of the 2000-2001 school year.
I would like to say thank you to all parents and students who participated in the "Maizies Place" Service Learning activity in December. I received a very heartfelt thank you from the director of Wateree Mental Health for all of our gifts and warm thoughts. Many people's lives were touched by your generosity. Once again, thank you!
The students just finished video taping their segments of study skills and test taking strategies, in preparation of improving their PACT scores. Scripts were written, props were brought from home (again, thanks!), and the process of technological design was learned. Please ask your child about the strategies they learned. Are they using any of them for their classes?
We are in the midst of Science Fair presentations in the classroom. Thank you for your continued patience and commitment to this process. It is a valued learning experience for everyone involved, and I appreciate your support. Remember that the Ebenezer Schoolwide Science Fair is February 8-9, and Hillcrest's Schoolwide Science Fair is Februaruy 14-16. Please stop by and see all the fabulous projects. If you would be interested in helping in any way, please send a note through your child and I will be happy to contact you.
