Bald Eagles are an endangered species. There is an estimated 9,789 breeding pairs of Bald Eagles left. Bald Eagles usually die from gun shots, electrocution, poisoning, vehicle collision, and starvation. In 1782 the Bald Eagle became part of the National Emblem.
Bald Eagles have excellent eyesight. Females usually lay 1 to 3 eggs. Males are usually smaller than the females.
