teenbiofeedback Debbie Lieval Ludwig
Biofeedback is becoming increasingly used with adolescents who are suffering from Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorders as well as Sever Conduct Disorders.  Biofeedback is a relatively new phenomena, which enables the user to alter brain waves through the use of learning strategies.
Biofeedback training is a painless, non-invasive procedure.  The patient's brain waves are monitored through the use of an EEG.  Biofeedback, in essence, is the retraining of one's brain to waves that are more similar to the brain waves of a non-disabled individual.
Biofeedback is a learning process, and results are seen gradually over time.  Some progress can be seen after as few as ten sessions.  With individuals who are Hyperactive or Attention Deficit Disordered, training is expected to take aproximately forty sessions.
Biofeedback is often not acceped by Doctors, they often are thinking of earlier alpha brain wave training.  Biofeedback sessions are not for all teens, and can be expensive, one session runs from $50 to $125.
