Welcome to Mrs. Sobczyk's home page! I'm looking forward to a great year in Computer Class.
Grades K-4 attend computer class once a week. They will be learning some very cool things in computer class this year.
Kindergarten will work in Kid Pix drawing pictures and learning about letters and math.
First Grade will do math work in Math Drill and will work in Kid Pix to learn more about addition, subtraction, graphing and directions.
Second Grade will start to learn about Microsoft Word. They will learn how to change the font color, size and style. They will also continue to work in Math Drill.
Third Grade will continue to work in Microsoft Word. They will learn some new things in Word such as, creating a table, inserting pictures, and adding a border.
Fourth Grade will continue working in Microsoft Word. They will continue to work with borders, tables, and inserting objects. They will also learn how to bullet a list. The second semester, fourth grade will be working with Power Point.
Third and Fourth Grades will start each class with 10 minutes of typing.
They are expected to type 15 minutes a week at home and then submit an Online Typing Log. Typing should be done using typing software (this can be purchased at Office Max, Best Buy, Target, etc). Typing of homework, e-mailing or playing games is not considered appropriate practice. If you choose not to purchase software, your child can click on one of the links below to practice typing.
