Algebra I is offered to students who have mastered the concepts of Pre-Algebra or 8th grade math. Students study algebraic concepts through ratios and proportions, signed numbers, powers and roots, rationalization of denominators, linear and nonlinear equations, factoring, quadratics, inequalities, statistics and probability, and when to apply which algebra skill to solve application problems.
