Our goal is to continue to grow and provide a variety of educational programs that will be a source of information, continuing education and training. Staten Island University Hospital is an approved provider of continuing education by the New York State Nurses Association’s Council on Continuing Education which is accredited by the American Nurses’ Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation. Keep checking the index as we will be adding more courses! You must register for all courses not assigned to your unit in order to create an online record and receive contact hours for the programs that you have successfully completed.
To access our e-Learning programs, follow the instructions listed below.
Instructions:
- Register for the course you are interested in by copying the course code then clicking
on the name of the program listed below.
- Sign-in on the "Student Zone" page.
- Once in your personal "Student Zone" page, enter the course code then click "Add Course". You are now registered for the course.
- Click "VIEW" to go to the opening page of the course.
- Follow
the instructions on the program page.
- Take
all required tests and surveys.
- Notify Staff Development by email or by calling ext. 9533 to receive your certificate of completion. Please allow at least 3-5 business days to receive your certificate by email. Make certain to provide a valid email address. A hard copy can be sent to your unit by inter-office mail if you do not have computer access at home.
