Homework for 2/14/12 (Tuesday):

EIGHTH GRADE ADVANCED SCIENCE (Periods 2, 3, 4, 5 & 6):   No homework

Also, a BIG CONGRATULATIONS goes out to Rachel Wile for her second place finish in the Broward County Science Fair.  WAY TO GO RACHEL!!!  You have made us all very proud!

Please start saving/gathering the materials for our air pressure rockets.  Try to bring in all the materials, but if you are unable, we will try and get you what you need.  All students should be able to bring in the two or more bottles, some tape, and a large plastic bag.

Air Pressure Rocket Materials:
2 – two-liter bottles (newer type as discussed in class)
Hot glue gun glue sticks (mini type)
String or yarn – either works fine
Clay (only small amount needed)
Tape (electrical and duct) Always need a lot of this!
Fin Material (as discussed in class)
Plastic (i.e. extra large garbage bag, plastic used to cover clean dry-cleaning (these work really well), etc.)

If possible, please bring in extra of these supplies for students who are not able to obtain all the material.  I will try and give some bonus points for those of you who do.
