Hello from S2,
Term two is now in full swing! The students continue to be working hard. We are wrapping up our science unit on animals and adaptations. Soon your child will bring home the poster he/she has made showing the new animal he/she discovered and its adaptations. We are continuing to learn about our state in social studies. Currently we are learning about the Wampanoag tribe and the Pilgrims.
As you know I will soon be taking maternity leave. Although this is an exciting time for my family and me, I am sad to be leaving this great group of students. Mrs. Clark will be taking over. She has worked in different classrooms here at Burgess for several years now and is very excited to join the third grade team! Mrs. Clark and I have been meeting regularly to discuss the classroom schedule and routines as well as the curriculum and students.
