If you notice that the course name changed in PINNACLE to LEADERSHIP, please do not be concerned. The course will continue the same curriculum as last year (Law Studies). Seventh grade students taking this course will qualify to select the second year course LAW STUDIES in eighth grade, for a high school credit (subject to availability, scheduling, and academic performance).

Wednesday, October 28 - DEAR to page 26, plus DEAR log; WE THE PEOPLE, page 142, #1-4.
Thursday and Friday, October 29/30 - DEAR (Everyone should be to page 26 in Sarny, plus log entry), Quiz #4, Bill of Rights lecture and discussion continued, WE THE PEOPLE, page 142, #1-4 (extra time to complete, if needed).
WEEK TWO
Monday and Tuesday, November 2/3 - DEAR to page 33 in Sarny, plus a DAER log entry, WE the people, pages 143-150. Page 149 1-4, Page 150, 1-5.
Wednesday/Thursday, November 4/5 - DEAR in Sarny to page 44, plus a DEAR log entry; notes (handout) on all the amendments with continued lecture on content of the BILL OF RIGHTS.
Friday, Novermber 6 (Odd) - Group Project - BILL OF RIGHTS.

10 point RUBRIC for MINI-POSTER (due November 23/24):
1 point for name, date, and period on the back side of your poster
1 point for the pink "post-it" on front of poster
1 point for paper sized 8.5 x 11 inches (copy paper size)
1 point for amendment number (for example, Amendment 5 or Amendment V)
1 point for the year the amendment was added (1791)
1 point for neatness
1 point for a written description (summary) of what the amendment states
1 point for a picture that expresses what the amendment means
2 points for creativity
