Read to students
Assist in searching library.
Read with your child everyday. Use newspapers, cereal boxes, road signs, comic strips, etc.,. Have your child be a mentor and read with a younger sibling or neighbor. Encourage your child to read to an elderly family member. Use road signs, the newspaper, the tv for math problems. Encourage your child to look for numbers in the environment. Add them, subtract them, put them in order, multiply, divide, etc. Learning is everywhere when we open our eyes and look.
