SHHS Beta Club

The SHHS Beta Club
promotes character, develops leadership skills, encourages service
involvement, and recognizes achievement among students at SHHS.
Requirements for membership in the SHHS Beta Club are as follows:
-
Junior or Senior
-
3.5 gpa by end
of sophomore year and maintenance of that gpa
-
15 hours of
community service per year
-
Regular
participation in meetings and service activities
-
$20 membership
dues

Requirements for
honor cords:
-
Maintain 3.5
gpa
-
Attendance
of meetings when possible
-
Completion
of 15 hours of community service with forms turned in to us
-
Participation in at least one Beta Club sponsored event each
semester (2 total) each year of membership
|
Meetings:
- Oct. 20: Officers Meeting, room
417 after school
- Oct. 27: Beta Club Meeting
in room 315 after school. Any student meeting the club
requirements may join at this time. TODAY IS THE DEADLINE
FOR JOINING!

Upcoming Events:
- October 31st: Trick or Treat for
UNICEF
|

Congratulations to Iqra Ahmad- She
was awarded a National Beta
Club Scholarship for $1,000 for 2009! |

We will be
collecting the following things during the coming year:
-Old blankets &
towels for bedding for the Animal Shelter.
-Pop tabs from cans
for the Ronald McDonald House.
