CLASS ACTIVITIES:
Periods 1, 2, 4: NUMBER THE STARS by Lois Lowry: we're researching & reading about the Danish rescue of the Jews during World War II. If you have any interesting stories or items that relate to this period, please share them with our class.
Period 6: THE GIVER by Lois Lowry: we're reading & studying the sci-fi story set in an imaginary communtity about Jonah, who struggles with a very special job he is assigned. We won't read in class much, so keep up at home. You should be through chapter 5 by January 24.
Period 7: We're partnering with Mrs. Zivick to increase our reading speed and comprehension with a program called Read Naturally. We'll divide into two groups, and begin next week. We're also working on SRA Power Builders.
