PASSPORTS are NOT required although more schools have made it their own requirement. It tends to expedite matters at immigrations and would be needed for Traveller's Check exchange at banks and some Casas de Cambio, normally
inland. Booklet info regarding money exchange is still current, ATMS are not recommended by Interact for student use.

Interact's Policy related to terrorism: "In the absence of an Official Travel Warning issued by the US State
Department, Interact's programs will operate. The Warning must prohibit travel to a specific country (Mexico) during the time period that you have been confirmed for -OR- must prohibit US Citizens from leaving the USA.

The media is not an official source nor is any other outside agency.

All countries have Counselor Information Sheets. If there is an area of concern, a Public Announcement is issued (the Worldwide Caution which has existed since approximately 1998, is in this category). And the highest level, the Warning.

If a Warning were issued, Interact will work diligently to obtain refunds from its many suppliers: airlines, hotels, bus companies, guide union, restaurants, etc. And, if the timing & circumstances that caused the Warning would allow, Interact would offer transferability or travel vouchers.
Comment: the issuance of such a Warning provides the substance needed for Interact to make requests for refunds."

The adult price is the same based on sharing  a quadruple room; double rooms
are $200 per person/$400 per double room for the entire week....single rooms
are not allowed. You will have a private bus & rooms...there will be no
other Interact groups with yours.

I will hold an information meeting for parents once the trip is approved to discuss payment schedule, rules of behavior (zero tolerance alcohol and smoking policy), passports, parental concerns, and more.
