Ahoy, Mateys! Welcome aboard Mrs. Hurley's journey through third grade!
May 29th and May 30th
I can hardly believe we are down to our last day and a half of third grade! I don't know about you all, but this year has really flown by for me.... one of the fastest school years I can remember. You know what they say about time flying when you are having fun. I guess the same holds true for when you are working hard. These kids have worked hard AND had fun. I can't wait to be able to share their successes with you when we are able to release TCAP scores.
A few reminders for next week: First, the last day of school is May 30th. This is a half day. Dismissal will be at 11:30. Report cards will be handed out around 11:00.
Second, we have two important programs this week. Tuesday is fifth grade promotion beginning at 9:00. During this ceremony, we will have awards for 1st and 3rd grades for perfect attendance and straight As. On Wednesday, we have fourth grade promotion, including awards for Kindergarten and 2nd grade. This program also begins at 9:00.
Thank you for sending in supplies to make our chocolate candy bars. The children made some very interesting (Skittles in chocolate?!) combinations. I am sure they will enjoy eating their creative concoctions.
