Language Arts is a class that is composed of the many aspects of reading and writing.
During this class students will study grammar and various forms of writing using Home of the Brave and Language Network .
In the reading component of language arts, students will be taught a variety of reading skills and strategies to improve their reading comprehension using A Wrinkle In Time , The Language of Literature , The Giver, and student selected reading materials.
Daily assignments and homework will count for 10% of the student's final grade. Tests, essays, projects and presentations will count for 90% of their grade.
Students who do not complete and/or hand in an assignment on time will not receive full credit for that assignment.
