Students, please read carefully and show your parents.
Dear Host Families,
We have a few adjustments to make to our schedule.
Friday, October 26.
Mr. Kessler's presentation is still on as planned, but please note the following:
The exchange students will meet in the cafeteria upon their arrival and stay there rather than going to your homerooms. They will go directly to my classroom for the presentation.
There is a Pep Assembly today during tutorial. I have been asked to say a few words about the Exchange and to introduce the students. Therefore, Mr. Kessler's presentation will have an interruption.
Sometime after I introduce the French students, I will ask you (the hosts) to come out to present the head warmers to your guests. PLEASE STOP BY MY ROOM TO GET THE HEAD WARMERS.
You will not be picking them up for lunch. The have a lot of work to do in conjunction with this trip (reports that are required). They will be working on those reports in my classroom during third period today. You will pick them up from my classroom (or cafeteria, depending on when they eat. Come to my room & you'll know.) at the end of 3rd. You will take them to your 4th period class.
The plans for Monday remain unchanged.
Due to the reports the students are doing, we are cancelling Tuesday's excursion to Erie and Wednesday's excursion to Presque Isle. I'll notify you as to when (during what periods) they will be working on their projects and when they will be with you in class.
FAREWELL DINNER -- Tuesday, October 30 -- FHS Cafeteria.
We will begin at around 5:15 pm. What I mean is that is when people will start to arrive and drop off their dishes. We will probably begin serving at around 5:45. After eating, there will be a "brief" ceremony. The dinner should wrap up somewhere between 7:00 and 7:30.
I will look into opening the pool and/or the gym that night. I'll notify you when something is certain.
Please bring the following dishes (enough to serve 6 - 8 people):
If your last name begins with letters A - M, please bring a main dish and a salad dish.
If your last name begins with letters N - Z, please bring a main dish and a dessert dish.
If you have friends who did not host, but would like to come, that's fine! Could you ask them to please bring a dish, too?
