This page will help you learn about the United States Government. There are several games that you can play to help you learn your government vocabulary words. The vocabulary words are organized in 6 different categories. Pick one at a time until you have gone through all 6. The games and directions are the same for each category. Play carefully and have FUN!!!! DIRECTIONS: MATCHING - Find the matching squares. To do this you will click on the word and the definition that matches it. A star on both the word and definition shows a match. To play a new game, click "NEW GAME". FLASHCARDS - Read the word on each flashcard. Say the definition to yourself. Then click on the flashcard to flip it over to check if you are right. If you were correct, click "REMOVE CARD". If you are not correct, click "TRY AGAIN LATER". When you have gone through all the cards, click "RESTART" to play the game again. CONCENTRATION - Try to uncover matching pairs of cards by clicking first on one card and then on a second card. If the word and the definition match, go on. If they don't match, keep trying. To play a new game, click on "NEW GAME". WORD SEARCH - Read the general directions at the top of the page. When you have found a word, click on the first letter and drag the cursor through the word. If you are correct, a star will appear on the side. To play a new game, click on "NEW GAME". ***If you want to play a different game, go to the top of the page and click on "FIND OTHER ACTIVITIES". To begin, go to the "Quia activities" and "Useful links" boxes below. Choose the category that you want to practice. Click on the blue hyperlink to go to the games.
