I hope you had a great vacation. It's now time to get back to work.
This year should be a very good year. We'll be starting our class with the Civil War, and work our way right up to the present time.


Sept. 5, 2001,

Since we're doing background work on the Civil War, there's no hw tonight.


Sept. 6, 2001:

Read pages 402-405 Sec 3 review, questions 1-5.

Sept. 10, 2001:

Read pages 412 - 416, and do the section review on page
416.

Sept. 14, 2001:

Read pages 424 - 429, and do quest. 1,2,4,5.


Sept. 17, 2001:

No HW.

Sept. 24, 2001: Do the worksheet you received today on the New York draft riots of 1863.


Sept. 25, 2001: Read pages 431-435, and do the section assessment.

Sept. 26: Read pages 438-444, and do the section review.

Sept. 28: No HW.

Oct.1: Read pages 444-451, and do the section 2
assessment.

Oct.2: Read pages 453-456, and do the section 3 review.

Oct.4: No HW

October 11: Read pages 470-475, and answer questions 1,3,4.

Oct. 15: 477 - 481. Page 481, sec. assessment.

Oct. 16: Due to the PSAT's, the assignment you were given will be collected tomorrow

Oct. 17: Start the packet on farming on the frontier. They're due on Friday.

Oct. 22: Read pages 484-488, and do the section assessment.
REMINDER!!!! YOUR NATIVE AMERICAN RESEARCH PAPERS DUE ON NOV. 1ST.

Oct. 24: Continue doing your research on your Native tribes paper. REMINDER!!! It's due on the 1st. Also, remember, TEST NEXT TUESDAY ON WESTERN EXPANSION!!!

Oct. 25: Keep on your research. Test next Tuesday.

Oct. 29: Study for your test, and don't forget, your research papers are due Thursday.

Nov. 7: Read pages 492-500, and do questions 1-5 on page 500.

Nov. 8: No HW

Nov. 12: Read pages 506-512, and do questions 1-4 on page 512.

Nov. 14: Start the "muckraker" packet. It's due Friday.

Nov. 18: We'll look at the "Gilded Age", starting tomorrow.

Nov. 27: Read pages 624-629. On page 629, do questions 1-5.

Nov. 28: If you haven't finished the muckraker packet, get it in to me by Friday.

Jan.04: We'll finish Sgt.York on Monday, and then discuss the film.

Jan. 07: Due to the high number of people out today, the quiz will be Wednesday. Keep working on your study guides.

Jan 25: Read pages 720-725, and do questions 1-5.

Jan 30: No HW.

Feb 6: No HW

Feb 7: Start going over your notes from the twenties. There will be a quiz next week. Also, you will get your project packet next week.

Feb 8: On Monday, you will get your project packets, and your test will be Tuesday.

Feb 11: Start going over your notes from the twenties. Test Wednesday.

Feb 12: Test tomorrow. You'll get your Depression project packets afterwards.

Feb 13: Test tomorrow, then you'll work on your project.

Feb 14: We'll start the projects tomorrow.

Feb 15: We'll talk a little about the Depression, and then you'll get time to work on the project. Also, you'll get your first incident envelope.

Feb 20: We'll continue to work on your projects.

Mar 6: Finish typing up your journals. We'll see avideo on the Dust Bowl tomorrow.

Mar 11: No HW, but we will start the FDR vs. the Court tomorrow.

Mar 12: Read pages 778 - 782, and do questions 1-4.

April 9: If you've decided on a battle, start your research display.

April 10: Continue your research on your battle

April 15: Start to collate your info on your battle. Remember, it's due Wednesday.

April 22: After watching the video, "Nuremburg", we'll discuss the modern war crimes trials going on.

May 2: If you owe me any work, get it to me, soon!

May 16: We finish up the test tomorrow.
