Here's what you're going to learn in French

Grading System
Each category is valued at 33.33% of your grade.
- Participation - Daily points are given for group, oral and individual communication exercises. Your grade is based on obtaining 6 participation francs per day.
- Quiz average - Your lowest quiz grade for a 9 weeks, will be dropped at the end of the 9 weeks.

NOTE:You will begin each 9 weeks with a 100 quiz grade for appropriate technology behaviors. 5 points will be deducted for each misuse of the technology. ibooks rules are signed by you and your parent at the beginning of the year.

Extra Credit: Watch a French Film on WCVE PBS Channel 23. Turn in a 1 page summary in English for a quiz grade. Note your name, film name, date of film showing at top of page. Current possibilities:
Jan. 27 at 4pm -"Nelly et M. Arnaud"
Feb. - "Tous le monde n'a pas eu la chance d'avoir des parents communistes"
Mar. - "Max et Jérémie"
April - "Les bronzés"
Extra credit: Due by Wednesday 1/23/02. Two new French films are in the theatres. "Amélie" and "Brotherhood of the Wolf". Bring in your ticket stub and a 1 page summary of the film in English typed for a quiz grade for the 2nd 9 weeks only. Note your name, film name, date of film showing at top of page.
