The Shockwave Team will be going to the National Gallery of Art in Washington, D.C. This is part of the art curriculum for sixth grade in Fairfax County.
Parents will be needed to chaperone this field trip. Please contact one of the teachers on the Shockwave Team by writing a note in the assignment book of your child letting us know that you will be a volunteer for this event. Write the note to one of these three teachers.

Another field trip is being planned for the entire sixth grade. This field trip connects well with the social studies curriculum about the Civil War era. All the sixth grade teams will be traveling to Petersburg, VA area using private bus transportation. The cost per student for this event will be approximately $30-45. All teams will need parents to volunteer as chaperones for this trip. More information is forthcoming through each respective team. This trip will be either in March or April.
