The focus of the 2nd Semester of Drama for the 2002-2003 year will be Stage Makeup and the school Talent Show.
Students will plan,organize, and participate in the Talent Show for Commonwealth Academy. ALL students are welcome to join the talent show, and may use an act of their choosing, or get ideas from Ms. Royer or the other teachers.
Drama students will also learn about various types of Stage Makeup and how they are used. We will have fun making your peers look like they are quite older and also creating scars and bruises.
The rules of class are as follows:
Be SOLID.
Participate.
Don't make fun of anyone else.
Take your performance seriously.
Respect for each other and your instructor is very important in this class. Repeated talking out of turn, making fun of other students, or not participating will not only greatly damage your grade, but cause your performances to suffer (which may also damage your grade.)
Grading: 60% Participation (including being SOLID and following the rules!)
40% Performance (including in-class, school-wide, and for parents and community members.)
