Bring a notebook, paper, and writing instrument, daily.
Introduction to Quia Class Page and Nicenet. Join Nicenet class for communication and submitting assignments.
Discussion: What is a Webpage, HTML, browser, and a Web Editor?
Tuesday, January 29
Discuss more vocabulary: ISP, FTP, and URL
What is URL grammar?
How do you judge the validity of information on a Website? Find an example of edu, personal, gov, mil and foreign sites and post to Nicenet.
Wednesday, January 30
Discuss the criteria for the school Webpage. See examples from the Internet. Post 2 examples of good and bad pages.
Thursday, January 31
List 10 most important criteria for school Webpage. Submit to Nicenet.
Friday, February 1
Create a rubrics for Juda School Webpage using each other's input on Nicenet. Final rubrics will be used to judge the pages you create in class.
Monday, February 4 We will discuss Search Engines. How to search, rules for each engine, and how to get your Webpage posted.
