Green Words: Green means “GO” - these words you can “sound-out”.
*NOTE: The words on the weekly spelling list will be the words your child is responsible for, for the test on Friday. However, they are expected to be able to use the weekly sounds in other words as well.

Red Words: Red means “STOP” - these words are high frequency words and must be memorized. Children will be given 5 new words each week. On each spelling test, 10 random Red Words will be chosen for review. Be sure to add the new Red Words to your list each week and review for the spelling test.
