Welcome Back! This year Work and Family has been "wired". Mrs. Wood's class has been equiped with iBooks and the extras.This will be a project driven class. Parents.....these projects will be done IN class. This way I can over see the learning that is going on. Homework will be in the form of reseach, but not putting the project on parents shoulders. For those who are not sure what Work and Family is it is the new term for Home Economics. With the new name comes a new millenium of subjects. No longer are we "stitching and stirring", our skill areas cover many things to help with life in the 2000's! Our children are going up in a new age and need to know how to use their resources to help them cope. The subject may have a new look but the skills for living remain pretty much the same!
