This class page contains materials to supplement Wheelock's Latin textbook, 6th edition. The vocabulary for every chapter, 1-40, is included here.
For the vocabulary in each chapter, there are flash cards to help you study the words: first try it by looking at the Latin word and guessing the English meaning, then try looking at the English meaning and supplying the Latin word.
After you have learned the vocabulary, you can play a matching game for reviewing the words. Each time you play the game, the computer randomly selects 8 words to play with.
Then, after you really know the words well, try playing the concentration game. This game really makes you pay attention! Each time you play, there are 8 different words on the board, although you can change the size of the board to make it bigger or small if you want.
There is also a word search game you can play (although the word search is a little weird since the Latin items sometimes contain more than one word -- you'll see what I mean!). It's still pretty fun: you drag the mouse on the screen when you find the Latin words and they are highlighted.
I hope these games will help everybody learn the vocabulary in the book perfectly so that you can enjoy all the reading exercises in this new edition of Wheelock.
