Here is the site I recommend for internet chess. Unfortunately, it is loaded with advertisements; please try to navigate around them.
When you go to the site, click on: email chess. After that, fill in the information. Remember what I said about entering personal information. Don't use your real name and please call me Mr. W. My email address is: tmschess@gmail.com When you make a move, you click on the piece you want to move, then you click on the space you want to move it to. Before the site sends the move, it asks that you verify. If the site is too confusing for you, send me an email and I'll make the first move. Let's play!

Here is a most popular chess site. It is expensive to join, but I've downloaded their computer chess program, ICC Dasher, for free. I play against their computers. You might want to ask for help downloading this program onto your home computer, though.
