Welcome to 2009 at Indian Trail Middle School.

The month of January we will be looking at the difference between a wish and a goal! We live in a country with unlimited opportunities and we must strive to be the best that we can be. Living without goals is like going on a trip without a destination. We would end up nowhere. Goals become the blueprint for an exciting and rewarding life.

We will also discuss possible roadblocks along the way to reaching our goals. But no matter what, it is important to believe in yourself and know that you can do anything you want to do. Quitters never win and Winners never quit!

Smiling is infectious; you catch it like the flu. When someone smiled at me today, I started smiling, too. I passed around the corner, and someone saw my grin. When he smiled, I realized I’d passed it on to him. I thought about that smile, Then I realized it’s worth. A single smile, just like mine could travel ‘round the earth. So, if you feel a smile begin, don’t leave it undetected. Let’s start an epidemic quick, and get the world infected!!
