Welcome to Third Grade at Navarro Elementary School! We are going to have great year! Our primary focus this year will be on reading, writing, math and developing good citizenship habits.
Homework will consist of reading for fifteen minutes on Monday through Thursday. Students will also have a reading response to complete with each chapter read in their novel. Students will have Excel Math every night, with Math Quick Review sheets coming soon. Spelling assignments will be the same every week: Monday: write spelling words in cursive one time; Tuesday: write 5 sentences using as many spelling words as you can; Wednesday: review spelling words with parents; Thursday: take a practice spelling test at home (actually write down the words as you would in class). Please ensure that your child completes homework assignment daily.
