COURSE DESCRIPTION

The standards for grade seven continue to emphasize exploration, analysis, and investigation of the creative process. Students develop technical skills that empower them to communicate ideas visually, with the focus on realistic representations of their enviroment.

Optical Illusions- Increasing observation skills

Contour Drawing- Review techniques

Contour drawing of shoes using different point of views

Gesture Drawing- Show art examples-Demonstrate - draw gestures of classmates

Distortions- Use of Ellipses and Inclined Planes,do practice

Names in 1 Point Perspective- Demo of center name, guidelines, block lettering, and 1 point perspective

Intuitive Space- Notes and worksheet- use of other depth techniques, overlapping,size change,atmospheric perspective,etc.
