I am a Writer Who.....
We are all writers. What kind of writer are you? Write about yourself in your writer's notebook. We will trade notebooks in class to get to know each other as readers and writers. Remember our class discussion and the example shown by your teacher.
Your notebook entry should include the following:
1) A picture of yourself (photo or self portrait)
2) A quote about reading.
3) A quote about writing.
4) Your favorite quote (anything....)
5) An excerpt from your best piece of writing
6) An excerpt from your favorite book
7) A list of your all time favorite books/authors
8) A short bio of what's most important in your life, written in the third person
Make sure that you lay out your ideas in rough draft form before you finalize them. Check your spelling. Make sure you focus on those aspects of reading and writing that are most meaningful to you. Sell yourself as a reader and a writer. Make us want to read your writing. Make us want to read the books you recommend. Inspire us!
