I hope your child has been having a great summer and is ready to begin a new year. First grade is such an exciting year in school. It's a year filled with learning and growing.
Open House will be on Wednesday, August 3rd at 6:00 p.m. It will give you and your child a chance to visit the classroom and meet me and his or her classmates. I will have additional copies of the Supply List, a Class List, 1st day paperwork, an envelope in which to place your school fees, and PTA sign-up sheets there for you. It would be great if you can fill out the paperwork and give it to me that night OR fill it out at home and return them in your child's backpack on the 1st day. We are hoping to also have our 1st grade T-Shirt order forms available along with a preview of the logo. By ordering them right away, we should have them in time for our 1st field trip!!
The first day of school will be Thursday, August 4th. This will be a half day for the students with dismissal at 11:30 a.m. Breakfast and lunch will NOT be served.
I hope you will use this website as a place to stay informed about the happenings in our classroom. I will also post games and sites that are both educational and informational to help your child along their learning journey.
